We have a great career opportunity for a Commodity Sales Manager located in our Commodities Dept. in Livingston, CA. Below is the job information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Initiate, negotiate and execute the sales of all domestic commodity products to include frozen raw chicken, frozen raw turkey, distressed chicken & turkey.
  2.  Monitor prices on 300 items each week based on market intelligence, inventory levels and product condition.
  3. Analyze inventory daily/hourly in order to access product availability.        
  4. Evaluate weekly sales data as needed.

REquirements:

  1. B.S. Degree required.
  2. Must have ten years of management experience, preferably in sales.
  3. Have the ability to disseminate a significant amount of information received from internal and external sources.
  4. Strong understanding of supply and demand pricing and of market conditions.
  5. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We have a great career opportunity for a Senior Food Technologist in our R&D Department located in Turlock, CA. Below is the job information.


Essential Functions:
1. Provide technical support to develop and implement new and/or improved processes and products.
2. Identify, test and optimize production parameters which will improve yields and processing efficiencies.
3. Maximize utilization of all available raw materials for product formulations to obtain least-cost formulating while maintaining corporate quality standards.
4. Prepare, update, and issue cost estimate requests and new labels.
5. Provide technical assistance to operations.


Job Requirements:
1. B.S. and  M.S in Meat Science, Poultry Science, Food Science or related field in addition to five-seven years experience in meat or poultry product development.
2.  Ph.D. in Meat Science, Poultry Science, Food Science or related field.
3. Mexican Food development experience a plus.
4. Knowledge of poultry processing, food processing and related equipment.
5. Excellent math skills - must be able to formulate food products.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills and be computer literate in word processing and spreadsheets.
7. Must be able to travel (auto and air).
