KEYNOTE SPEAKER - MICHAEL S. STEELE - 10:00-11:15am
Michael S. Steele, newly elected Chairman of the Republican National Committee and former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland will present the audience with his keynote address. Mr. Steele’s combination of political and business experience has guided organizations through interrelated legal, business, and political issues affecting their operations.

A self-described Lincoln Republican, Michael S. Steele earned a place in history in 2003 when he became the first African-American elected to statewide office in Maryland. His experience as a successful elected conservative Republican African-American and his engaging speaking style has launched him into national prominence. His first major exposure was during an appearance at the 2004 Republican National Convention.

Just after completion in 1961, The National, then called the Stardust Country Club, hosted its first professional golf event, the LPGA Championship. From that date forward history was made. The layout, designed by Bert Stamps, is traditional in design and even today is a challenge for the best of players. The National has become a landmark over the last 50 years. The course is a par 71 and 6,750 yards. Cost: $180

The passage of Proposition 2 in California has the potential of changing the look of the U.S. shell egg industry in a substantive way well into the future. What does Prop 2 truly mean for cage production in California? What has cage/cage-free regulations in Europe meant to production there? Will production in other states be affected? Our panel of expert advisors will analyze the issues. Panel members will include David Radlo, Radlo Foods, Julian Madeley, Director General, The International Egg Commission, Don Bell, University of California and Debbie Murdock, Pacific Egg & Poultry Association.

Mike Miller is chief operating officer and has 10 years experience with CattleFax. How will the Obama administration address ethanol policy? Mr. Miller will give his analysis and observations on the corn and soybean meal markets.

Reporter Market Synopsis - 4:00-5:00pm
Calendar year 2008 set records for economic performance of the egg industry all across the country. Greg, Randy and Rick will review the shell egg and egg products markets for 2008, and also for year-to-date 2009, as well as applicable USDA (and other) statistics which are pertinent to the market and, thereafter, take the opportunity to entertain any questions.
